Bicyclist Dies after Crash with Vehicle on Antelope Valley Freeway in Gorman

 
GORMAN, CA (April 28, 2023)– One person was killed in a bicycle accident on Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Gorman late Wednesday evening on April 26.
 
The fatal accident happened around 11:06 p.m. at West Avenue C. According California Highway Patrol, the bicyclist and a vehicle collided along the northbound freeway in unclear circumstances.
 
When officers arrived, they found the bicyclist lying on the right side of the freeway with fatal injuries. They pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
 
It is unknown if the driver of the vehicle stayed after the crash.
 
CHP officers closed all lanes of the freeway for several hours while they investigated the crash.
