18-Month-Old Struck, Hospitalized by Car in Parking Lot on Wall Street in Auburn
AUBURN, CA (April 28, 2023) — An 18-month-old was hit and injured by a moving car at a parking lot on Wall Street near Palm Avenue.
According to Auburn Police, the tragic incident happened Wednesday evening. Under unclear circumstances, an 18-month-old either fell out of the moving vehicle or was wandering outside when the car began rolling away. Officers believe the vehicle started moving as the boy’s mom started loading items into it.
The moving car struck the child, who sustained significant injuries. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and took the child to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.
