Early Morning 8-Vehicle Pileup on 15 Freeway in Fontana Ends in Fatality

 
FONTANA, CA (November 7, 2021) – At least one person was killed in an 8-vehicle pileup on 15 Freeway in Fontana early Sunday morning.
 
The crash happened around 3:52 a.m. on November 7, along the southbound lanes of the freeway just south of Summit Avenue. CHP officials did not provide details of how the crash occurred, but they said approximately eight vehicles, including a Dodge sedan, were involved.
 
When officers arrived, they confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the crash.
 
The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased once next of kin is notified.
 
It is unknown if there are other injuries sustained in the crash.
 
The CHP is still investigating the ultimate cause and factors involved.
