Three Vehicles Collide on 60 Freeway in Jurupa Valley Injuring One Driver

 
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (September 10, 2023) – One person was injured in a three-vehicle accident on 60 Freeway in Jurupa Valley Tuesday afternoon on September 5.
 
The accident happened around 5:10 p.m. at Mission Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, a big rig, a pickup truck hauling a horse trailer and Hyundai Genesis collided along the eastbound freeway.
 
Witnesses told the CHP that the driver of the Hyundai crawled out of his vehicle afterward with unspecified injuries.
 
Paramedics transported the driver to a Riverside hospital for proper treatment.
 
Riverside County Fire Department crews shut down two freeway lanes while they worked on the scene.
 
It was unclear whether the pickup with the horse trailer hitched was actually carrying an equine. The trailer went through the guardrail, according to the CHP.
 
The extent of damage to the semi and the Hyundai were unknown.
 
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
