Pedestrian Sustains Leg Injury after Hit by SUV on East Bellevue Road in Atwater

 
ATWATER, CA (November 29, 2022) – One person was injured in a pedestrian accident on East Bellevue Road in Atwater Saturday night on November 26.
 
Just before 6:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of a pedestrian who had been hit in the 100 block of East Bellevue Road. When they arrived, they found the pedestrian in the center median with an injured leg.
 
Riggs Ambulance Service and Atwater Cal Fire personnel treated the pedestrian at the scene.
 
Police said the pedestrian was struck by a Dodge Durango that was going west on East Bellevue Road.
 
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with law enforcement.
 
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The Atwater Police Department is handling the investigation. They asked anyone with further information to contact them at 209-357-6384 and ask for Officer Salazar.
