Early Thanksgiving Day Crash in Davis Kills Passenger and Driver

 
DAVIS, CA (November 29, 2022) – Lyubov Vorona was killed in a high-speed crash in Davis on early Thanksgiving Day.
 
The fatal crash happened a little after 2:30 a.m. on November 24, just between Mace Boulevard and County Road 105. According to the CHP, a Ford had been traveling westbound on 80 Freeway at a high rate of speed. It then traveled in a northwesterly direction before it crashed and came to rest on County Road 32A.
 
As a result, both driver and the front passenger suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. A third passenger sustained major injuries.
 
Vorona was the front passenger of the car. She just turned 27 earlier this month, according to Yolo County coroner’s officials. Her city of residence was not immediately known.
 
The name of the male driver had not been released pending notification of his next of kin.
 
At this time, it is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The CHP urged anyone with further information to contact them at 530-662-4685.
