HOLLYWOOD, CA (February 11, 2021) — One person was injured in a pedestrian accident on the 101 Freeway near Vine Street Wednesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian crash occurred around 1:45 a.m.
 
For unknown reasons, a big rig driver struck the pedestrian on the southbound lanes of the freeway. At this time, the cause and events before the accident remain unclear.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded and transported the patient to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, the driver of the big rig stayed at the scene for police questioning.
