Motorcycle Rider Sustains Injuries after Crash with Vehicle on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu

 
MALIBU, CA (November 29, 2022) – One person was injured in a motorcycle accident on Pacific Coast Highway in a busy part of Malibu on Saturday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 4:16 p.m. at Cross Creek Road. According to the Malibu-Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station, the motorcycle rider was trying to split lanes by moving in the same lane as a car. However in the process, the rider hit the vehicle. It was unclear how fast the car was going.
 
After the crash, the rider was ejected and was airlifted to a hospital with a head trauma. They were not wearing a helmet.
 
It is unclear if there are other injuries sustained in the crash.
 
At this time, deputies are still investigating whether speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
