Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Trolley near Noell and Hancock Streets in Mission Hills

 
MISSION HILLS, CA (February 6, 2023) – One person was fatally struck by a trolley near Noell Street and Hancock Street in the Mission Hills neighborhood on Friday afternoon.
 
The fatal crash happened just after 1:00 p.m. on February 3, in a commercial area just near the San Diego International Airport. According to the San Diego Police Department, the pedestrian was walking or standing in the area when the trolley struck them.
 
The victim, whose identity was not immediately available, died at the scene.
 
The crash led to trolley delays in the area, the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System advised.
 
At this time, the circumstances of the fatality remain under investigation.
