DUI Driver Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Almaden Avenue in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (August 17, 2021) – Police arrested one person after a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Almaden Avenue on August 14.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Willow Street.
 
Based on reports, the male suspect was traveling on the road at the time of the crash. Then, he struck a pedestrian in the lanes and left the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
 
As a result, the pedestrian died in the incident. As of now, officials have not yet released the victim’s name pending kin notification.
 
In the end, police arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence, hit-and-run, and vehicular manslaughter. At this point, this pedestrian accident on Almaden Avenue is still under investigation. Also, no other details are available.
