SACRAMENTO, CA (August 17, 2021) – Five people sustained injuries after a multi-vehicle accident at Blacktop Road and Elkhorn Boulevard.
 
The accident happened around 2:40 p.m. on Sunday, August 15. According to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, several vehicles collided at the intersection for unknown reasons.
 
Fire personnel extricated one patient from a vehicle. Paramedics then transported five people to UC Davis Medical Center, one of the patients was listed in critical condition.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
