Major Injuries Sustained in Motorcycle Crash on Marsh Creek Road at Lydia Lane in Clayton

 
CLAYTON, CA (April 22, 2022) – Paramedics airlifted a rider to the hospital following a motorcycle crash in the 19000 block of Marsh Creek Road on April 20.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Lydia Lane around 11:41 AM.
 
Based on a report, the rider was riding a motorcycle at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, the motorcycle collided with another vehicle. As of now, the details that led to the crash are not yet available.
 
As a result, the rider sustained major injuries and was in and out of consciousness. Crews with the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District transported the victim to the Round Valley Staging area before a medical helicopter airlifted him to a local hospital. In addition, four other people sustained minor injuries but did not require hospitalization.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. Also, no other details are available.
