Rollover Accident in Fresno County Kills Kevin Serrano, Injures 7 Others

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (April 22, 2022) – A young man died in a rollover van accident at Fowler Avenue and Lincoln Avenue on Friday, April 15.
 
The Fresno County Coroner identified the victim as 18-year-old Mendota resident Kevin Serrano.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, Serrano was one of seven passengers in a silver Chevy Astro van around 6:30 a.m. The van stopped at Lincoln Avenue, then proceeding into the intersection at Fowler Avenue and collided with a GMC Terrain SUV.
 
Serrano – who was not wearing a seatbelt – was thrown from the van as it rolled over during the crash. Unfortunately, the van landed on top of Serrano and he died at the scene.
 
Paramedics transported the remaining passengers and a passenger inside the SUV to the hospital with injures and reports of pain.
 
A report stated the van was full of farmworkers.
 
Police stated that the SUV had the right of way on Fowler Avenue. However, police are continuing the investigation.
