Speeding Rider Suffers Major Injuries after Fiery Crash on 15 Freeway in Cajon Pass

 
CAJON PASS, CA (February 27, 2024) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a fiery accident on 15 Freeway in the Cajon Pass Sunday evening on February 25.
 
The accident happened around 8:36 p.m. about two miles after Highway 138. According to the CHP, the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed in the northbound lanes of the freeway. He was swerving in and out of lanes and reportedly clipped a vehicle. He then lost control and rear-ended a Honda.
 
The impact of the crash caused the motorcycle to bursts into flames.
 
San Bernardino County Fire Department crews responded and found the motorcyclist suffering from major but non-life-threatening injuries. They took him to a hospital for treatment.
 
The driver of the Honda was also transported by ground ambulance as a precaution due to be pregnant.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
