Motorcyclist Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Big Rig on 880 Freeway in Fremont

 
FREMONT, CA (November 1, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash on 880 Freeway in Fremont on Monday morning, October 31.
 
The fatal accident happened around 11:55 a.m. just north of A Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcycle went down on the freeway when a big rig struck them.
 
After the crash, the big rig did not stop.
 
The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
It is unknown what caused the motorcycle to go down. It is also unclear if the driver of the big rig knew that they were involved in the crash.
 
At this time, the CHP is still searching for the big rig. They asked anyone with information about the crash to call them at 510-489-1500.
