Rider Dies after Colliding with Pickup Truck on Avenue H in Lancaster

 
LANCASTER, CA (August 14, 2023) – A motorcyclist was killed in a fiery high-speed crash at Avenue H and 30th Street West in Lancaster late Friday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened around 11:37 p.m. on August 11. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriffs’ Department’s Lancaster Station, a Toyota Tundra was traveling west on Avenue H and reportedly made a left turn southbound onto 30th Street West. At the same time, the motorcycle was traveling east on Avenue H approaching 30th Street West.
 
The motorcycle collided with the Tundra, ejecting the rider and causing the motorcycle to burst into flames.
 
First responders pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
 
It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash, but investigators said speed may be a factor.
