Traffic Accident on Sorrento Valley Road Kills Motorcycle Rider

 
SORRENTO VALLEY, CA (October 1, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed in an accident on Sorrento Valley Road in the Sorrento Valley area Wednesday morning, September 29.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:30 a.m. less than a half-mile south of Carmel Mountain Road. According to the San Diego Police Department, the motorcyclist was heading north when he collided with a black two-door Scion that was making a left turn at 11585 Sorrento Valley Road.
 
The impact of the crash caused the motorcyclist fatal injuries. He died at the scene. Police only described him as a man in his 30s.
 
The driver of the Scion is also in his 30s. It is unknown if he sustained injuries from the crash.
 
An investigation is underway. SDPD traffic unit investigators asked anyone with further information to call them at 888-580-8477.
