Rider Suffers Significant Injuries after Crash with Hit-and-Run Driver on Ward Street in Fountain Valley

 
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (November 28, 2023) – A motorcyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash at Ward Street and Calle Independencia in Fountain Valley on November 18.
 
According to the Fountain Valley Police Department, a white unknown model SUV was traveling north on Ward Street when it made a lane change, cutting off the motorcyclist.
 
The motorcyclist, a 27-year-old male from Orange, veered to the right and struck a parked vehicle. The motorcyclist then fell off the bike into the path of the SUV, which ran over the victim.
 
Responding paramedics took the motorcyclist to an area hospital with significant injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV fled from the scene.
 
Police said the SUV may have been a 2001-2007 white Toyota Highlander. They urged witnesses of the crash to call the Fountain Valley Police Department’s Traffic Bureau at 714-593-4481. The police file number is DR 23-39740.
