Rear-End Accident with Truck at Laurel and Linwood Drives Leaves Rider in Critical Condition

 
SALINAS, CA (November 30, 2021) – A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries in a rear-end accident on Laurel Drive at Linwood Drive in Salinas on Sunday evening.
 
The accident happened just after 7:00 p.m. on November 28. According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was speeding when he crashed into the back of a pickup truck. The impact ejected him from his bike.
 
Paramedics rushed the motorcyclist to a hospital in critical condition.
 
The driver of the pickup truck remained on scene and cooperated with the authorities.
 
CHP officials did not rule out alcohol or drugs as contributing factors. The accident is still under investigation.
