Michael Taylor Struck and Killed by Gravel Truck at Walnut Creek Construction Site

 
WALNUT CREEK, CA (April 6, 2022) Michael Taylor died after being run over by a gravel truck at a construction site near Del Hombre Lane and Roble Road.
 
According to reports, the deadly event happened on Monday at 10:15 a.m. in an unincorporated area of Walnut Creek. Under unclear circumstances, a gravel truck ran over 62-year-old Taylor as he worked as a flagman at the site.
 
Soon after, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District reached the scene to help. However, the 62-year-old Concord man died moments later. Per reports, it’s unclear whether he died at a hospital or at the construction site.
 
At this time, the Division of Occupational Safety and Health plans to investigate this incident from all angles to determine what had occurred prior to his death. Thus, if anyone has information surrounding this tragic incident, please contact the authorities.
