Michael Gurrola Dies in Accident With Big Rig on 215 Freeway near Columbia Avenue

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (April 2, 2021) — Michael Gurrola died in a crash with a big rig on the 215 Freeway near Columbia Avenue Thursday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 1:00 a.m. on the southbound freeway. For unknown reasons, the 27-year-old drove his Honda Civic into the rear of the big rig. However, reports had not specified when the truck had stopped.
 
As a result of the accident, Gurrola, of Riverside, died at Riverside Community Hospital. As for the driver of the semi-truck, he or she escaped the crash unharmed.
 
At this time, this collision remains under investigation. However, if anyone has more knowledge on this accident, please contact the CHP.
