26-Year-Old Matthew Chacon Dies in Rio Linda Motorcycle Accident at 22nd and E Streets

 
RIO LINDA, CA (January 30, 2021) – Matthew Chacon was killed in a motorcycle accident in Rio Linda Thursday evening, June 24.
 
The accident happened around 9:18 p.m. at the intersection of 22nd Street and E Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 26-year-old Rio Linda man was riding his motorcycle when he collided with a dark colored Ford F-250 pickup truck for unknown reasons.
 
Firefighter paramedics responded and located Chacon lying on the ground with significant injuries. They attempted saving him, but he died at the scene.
 
It is unclear if the driver of the pickup truck stayed after the crash.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
