PITTSBURG, CA (January 9, 2024) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Railroad Avenue near Central Avenue.
 
According to the Pittsburg Police Department, the deadly accident happened on January 6. Under unclear circumstances, a 42-year-old woman from Pittsburg struck a 36-year-old male pedestrian in the 1200 block of Railroad Avenue. Rather than stopping, the driver fled the scene, leaving the victim with grave injuries. Soon after, emergency personnel responded but the patient died on the way to the hospital.
