Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run on Willow Street near Los Angeles River

 
LONG BEACH, CA (April 29, 2021) – A man died in a pedestrian hit-and-run on Willow Street in Long Beach late Sunday afternoon, April 25.
 
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the man was struck by a vehicle around 5:25 p.m. on the service road that accesses the Los Angeles River north of Willow Street.
 
Officers arrived and found the pedestrian with injuries to his upper and lower torso. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
The victim was only identified as a 52-year-old Long Beach resident.
 
The involved driver did not stop after the crash.
 
Long Beach police sought public help Monday to find the hit-and-run suspect. They asked anyone with information on the case to call detectives at 562-570-7355, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
