26-Year-Old Man Dead in Pedestrian Accident on Sonoma Boulevard and Lewis Brown Drive

 
VALLEJO, CA (July 26, 2021) — A 26-year-old Redwood City man died in a pedestrian accident on Sonoma Boulevard on Tuesday, July 20.
 
At around 5:15 a.m., Vallejo police received reports of a vehicle versus a pedestrian incident. Officers then responded to Sonoma Boulevard and Lewis Brown Drive.
 
Police arrived at the scene and found the man lying unconscious on the road. Emergency responders from Vallejo Fire Department pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
 
The Solano County Coroner’s Office withheld the identity of the victim until they can notify his next of kin.
 
The driver of the involved vehicle pulled over and cooperated with the investigation. Officers said drugs or alcohol did not contribute to the collision.
 
The incident marks Vallejo’s eighth traffic fatality this year.
