Pedestrian Dies after Hit by Car on Highway 50 in Rancho Cordova

 
RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (December 26, 2022) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Highway 50 in Rancho Cordova late Friday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:30 p.m. on December 23, along the westbound on-ramp of the highway near Sunrise Boulevard. According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the male pedestrian was walking on the highway when a vehicle struck him.
 
First responders performed CPR on the man, but he did not survive. The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The driver of the involved vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with officers.
 
The circumstances of this fatality remain under investigation.
