Pedestrian Pushing Shopping Cart Dies after Struck by Car on East Bayshore Road in East Palo Alto
EAST PALO ALTO, CA (April 27, 2022) – A man pushing a shopping cart died in a pedestrian accident on East Bayshore Road on Monday morning.
The accident happened around 5:09 a.m. on April 25 at Oakwood Drive. According to East Palo Alto Police Department, the man wearing dark clothing was pushing a shopping cart in the southbound lane of traffic when car traveling in the same direction struck him.
As result, the man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Police did not release the victim’s identify, pending notification of next of kin.
The involved driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.
At time, the fatal accident is under investigation. Police urged witnesses to call them at 650-409-6792.
