Cyree Jamal Carter Arrested in Traffic Accident on Highland Avenue and Melrose Avenue

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 27, 2022) — Officials arrested 23-year-old Cyree Jamal Carter of Inglewood after a traffic crash on Saturday, April 16.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened near Highland Avenue and Melrose Avenue.
 
LAPD said the victims were inside a white Audi that was stopped in traffic. Then Carter, who drove a black Alfa Romeo SUV, pulled alongside them and aimed a gun at them. He subsequently demanded that they pull over and give them their property.
 
After that, the victim tried to flee by driving away but got stuck in traffic. The suspect followed and crashed into the rear of a vehicle. That impact led to a four-vehicle collision.
 
Carter and a female passenger then fled on foot before the arrival of authorities.
 
Police later arrested him in Long Beach at about 10:25 a.m. on Tuesday after leading police on a short chase that led to another car crash.
 
Police booked Carter into jail on suspicion of attempted robbery and three counts of assault with a deadly weapon. They set his bail at $230,000. He later posted bond and was released from jail.
