Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident at Lawrence Expressway and Arques Avenue [Sunnyvale, CA]

Motorcyclist Dies after Crash with Car on Lawrence Expressway in Sunnyvale

 
SUNNYVALE, CA (March 18, 2024) – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident at Lawrence Expressway and Arques Avenue in Sunnyvale on Sunday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 7:00 a.m. on March 17. According to Sunnyvale Public Safety, the man was riding his motorcycle northbound on Lawrence Expressway. He attempted to make a left turn onto Arques Avenue when he collided with a car at the intersection.
 
When officers arrived, they found the motorcyclist suffering from serious injuries.
 
Despite life-saving measures, the victim died at the scene. He was not yet identified.
 
The driver of the vehicle, also an adult man, only sustained minor injuries. He stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
 
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation. Police do not believe alcohol and drugs were factors in the crash.
