Jordy Recinos Killed in Two-Car Accident on 10 Freeway [University Park, CA]

Two Cars Collide on 10 Freeway in University Park Killing One and Injuring Five Other People

 
UNIVERSITY PARK, CA (March 18, 2024) – Jordy Martin Recinos was killed in a two-car accident in the University Park area Sunday afternoon on March 17.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:05 p.m. on 10 Freeway at Hoover Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, a pickup truck and a Tesla collided along the westbound lanes of the freeway for unknown reasons.
 
Los Angeles Fire Department crews extricated one person who was trapped in the wreckage.
 
Recinos suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was 26 years old.
 
Five other people suffered serious to critical injuries. The victims were four boys, aged 3 months, 6, 7 and 10, and a 29-year-old woman.
 
The circumstances leading up to what caused the crash are still under investigation.
