Edward Alba Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Pond Road near Wallace Road

 
DELANO, CA (March 18, 2024) — Edward Alba was hit and killed by a car on Pond Road near Wallace Road Thursday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly pedestrian accident happened around 6:30 a.m. For an unknown reason, 58-year-old Alba reportedly walked directly in front of a southbound Nissan. Subsequently, the Nissan Sentra struck him on Pond Road, east of Wallace Road.
 
Minutes later, paramedics arrived and pronounced the Delano man deceased at the scene. The Kern County Coroner’s Office recently identified him. Authorities investigating the crash ruled out impairment as a possible explanation for the incident. However, if anyone can help traffic investigators with this case, please call the CHP.
