Motorcycle Rider Dies after Crash with SUV on Highway 74 in Good Hope

 
GOOD HOPE, CA (May 5, 2024) – A man died in a motorcycle accident on Highway 74 in Good Hope Thursday evening on May 2.
 
The fatal accident happened just after 9:00 p.m. at Betty Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was riding his motorcycle at an unknown speed when a 2019 Toyota Highlander pulled onto the highway from Betty, intending to head east.
 
The SUV, driven by a 52-year-old Hesperia woman, appeared directly in front of the rider. The motorcycle was unable to avoid it and struck the left front side of the car.
 
The impact ejected the motorcycle rider onto the highway.
 
Riverside County Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
 
Authorities only identified the victim as a 44-year-old Lake Elsinore resident.
 
The Toyota driver and her passenger, a 53-year-old Hesperia man, suffered unspecified injuries. Both declined transportation to a hospital.
 
No one was arrested at this time.
