45-Year-Old Man on Bicycle Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run SUV on Woodley Avenue in Van Nuys

 
VAN NUYS, CA (May 5, 2024) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Woodley Avenue in Van Nuys Friday evening on May 3.
 
The fatal crash happened around 8:11 p.m. just south of Victory Boulevard. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the man was riding his bicycle when a speeding silver SUV struck him.
 
After striking him, the SUV continued without stopping. It was last seen traveling south on Woodley Avenue toward Woodley Avenue Park.
 
First responders found the man lying in the roadway with fatal injuries. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Authorities only described the victim as a 45-year-old man.
