Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash near Fruitridge Road in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (April 28, 2023) — A man died in a motorcycle accident near Fruitridge Road and Nona Way Thursday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol South Sacramento station, the fatal motorcycle accident happened around 7:00 a.m. For an unknown reason, a car turned left into the motorcycle, which was heading eastbound on Fruitridge Road.
 
At some point, the motorcyclist lost his helmet and struck the ground 20 feet from the point of impact. He died in the crash, and officials have yet to release his name.
 
The driver stayed at the scene following the accident and cooperated with police investigators. Officers do not believe impairment contributed to the crash; however, an investigation should confirm more details.
