EL CAJON, CA (April 28, 2023) — Authorities closed several lanes following a multi-car accident on the 8 Freeway near Main Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle collision happened around 10:20 a.m. Thursday. Under unclear circumstances, several cars crashed on the westbound side, leaving one car overturned in the middle of the traffic lanes.
 
Officials did not say if anyone suffered an injury. However, drivers detoured to East Main Street until 1:20 p.m. when Caltrans reopened all traffic lanes.
