Police Seek Driver of SUV Involved in Fatal Hit-and-Run on Wren Avenue in Gilroy

 
GILROY, CA (September 14, 2022) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash at Wren Avenue and El Cerrito Way in Gilroy on Monday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened around 8:54 p.m. on September 12. According to the Gilroy Police Department, the male pedestrian was walking at the intersection when a car struck him.
 
The suspect vehicle, a gray or charcoal-color SUV with front-end damage, then fled the scene after the crash. It was last seen heading northbound on Wren Avenue.
 
The victim, a male Gilroy resident, died at the scene. Authorities withheld his identity at this time.
