Man Dies in Exposition Park Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Normandie Avenue

 
EXPOSITION PARK, CA (April 11, 2022) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Normandie Avenue and 36th Street, early Sunday morning.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 2:55 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver traveling southbound on Normandie Avenue failed to stop after hitting a man crossing the street.
 
Subsequently, a second driver ran over the victim, whom reports described as a male in his 30s. Soon after the incident, paramedics responded and freed the victim from the undercarriage of the second car. However, after having received life-saving efforts, the pedestrian died at the scene.
 
At this time, authorities need the public’s help in identifying the first driver who fled the area. Therefore, anyone who knows of this crash should contact the LAPD.
