SACRAMENTO, CA (February 13, 2023) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Excelsior Road near Gerber Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol North Sacramento office, the fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened on January 24 around 7:09 p.m.
 
Under unclear circumstances, a driver of what might have been a 2016 or newer Dodge Ram struck a man on Excelsior Road North. Soon after, officers received calls about a body lying on the side of the road. As soon as officers arrived, they learned that the deceased man had injuries consistent with being hit by a car.
