Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Oxnard Street in North Hollywood

 
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA (September 26, 2021) – A 55-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Oxnard Street in North Hollywood Saturday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened around 9:45 p.m. on September 25, just east of Farmdale Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a dark van was traveling westbound on Oxnard Street when it struck the pedestrian, who was crossing mid-block southbound.
 
After the crash, the driver of the van fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
Responding paramedics rushed the pedestrian to a nearby hospital, where the victim later succumbed to his injuries.
 
At this time, LAPD Valley Traffic Division detectives are still investigating the incident. They urged anyone with further information to call them at 818-644-8032.
