CHP Officer Suffers Broken Leg after Colliding His Motorcycle with Another Vehicle on 105 Freeway in Downey

 
DOWNEY, CA (September 26, 2021) – A CHP officer suffered injuries in a motorcycle accident on Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway in Downey Saturday evening.
 
The accident happened around 8:10 p.m. on September 25, at the intersection with Bellflower Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, the officer was riding his motorcycle when he collided with another vehicle in the eastbound freeway lanes.
 
As a result, the officer suffered a broken leg. Paramedics transported him to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood for proper treatment.
 
The driver of the involved vehicle stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
After the crash, crews issued a SigAlert in the area, shutting down all but the HOV lane of the freeway.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
