Man Fatally Injured in Car Crash on Highway 70 near Power House Hill Road

 
OROVILLE, CA (February 7, 2022) — A Yuba City man died in a car accident on Highway 70 at around 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 4.
 
The California Highway Patrol Oroville said the incident happened in a field west of Highway 70 near Power House Hill Road.
 
The 38-year-old man was driving a Polaris and made a turning movement. It led for the off-road vehicle to roll over.
 
The impact ejected both the driver and a 39-year-old male passenger into the field. The CHP said medics brought both men to the hospital where the driver died. His identity was not yet available.
 
The passenger received treatment for moderate injuries.
 
Officials said it is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were factors in the incident.
