1 Dead in Pedestrian Crash on Oceanside Boulevard in Oceanside

 
OCEANSIDE, CA (April 16, 2024) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Oceanside Boulevard near College Boulevard.
 
According to Oceanside police officers, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver of a Toyota Corolla struck three people crossing Oceanside Boulevard. Subsequently, the Toyota driver pulled over and waited for authorities to arrive.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and took all three pedestrians to area hospitals, including one who died at Tri-City Medical Center minutes after arrival. Meanwhile, the two other victims, described as a 24-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries at Palomar Medical Center.
 
At this time, authorities do not have the fatal victim’s name, only describing him as a 21-year-old. However, we will release his identity once family members are notified.
