Man Hospitalized in Pedestrian Crash on Highway 1 in Santa Cruz

 
SANTA CRUZ, CA (December 2, 2022) — A man was injured in a pedestrian accident on Highway 1 near Park Avenue on November 30.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident happened around 6:48 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 61-year-old woman driving a 2014 Acura RDX struck the 31-year-old Watson man who was walking on the northbound lane of Highway 1.
 
The Capitola woman stopped at the scene and waited for police officers to arrive. Soon after, paramedics airlifted the seriously injured man to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for treatment.
 
It’s unclear what drove the accident. However, an ongoing investigation will confirm the details.
