MENIFEE, CA (December 2, 2022) — A boy suffered a head injury in a bicycle accident on Newport Road at Westlink Drive Wednesday.

According to Menifee police officers, the bicycle accident occurred around 4:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, the youth turned southbound on Westlink Drive after riding eastbound on the north sidewalk of Newport Road.

As for the driver, he or she stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigators who ruled out DUI as a possible factor. If anyone has more information on this accident, please call the Riverside Police.

When riding an electric bicycle, protect yourself by wearing a helmet. Always abide by traffic signals and road signs to help guide you in navigating traffic. You will most likely find oncoming drivers and the road populated with cars. Keep this in mind when riding a bike.
