SAN DIEGO, CA (May 4, 2022) — A man was hit and injured by a hit-and-run driver on Garnet Avenue near Mission Bay Drive on Tuesday.
 
According to the San Diego Police, the hit-and-run accident happened around 12:30 a.m. For unknown reasons, an oncoming driver struck the man as he sat on the center median in the 2700 block of Garnet Avenue.
 
Following the accident, the driver fled westbound in a car described as a dark red vehicle with rally sport rims. A description of the driver was not provided.
 
As a result, the victim was left with a broken femur.
 
At this time, officers have no information on the suspect involved. However, anyone with information surrounding this hit-and-run should contact the San Diego police officers.
