Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 99 in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (September 19, 2022) — A man died in a motorcycle accident on Highway 99 near Shaw Avenue on Friday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle accident happened around 7:30 p.m. Just north of Shaw Avenue in the southbound lanes, a 29-year-old man failed to see an obstruction in the roadway.
 
Subsequently, he struck the object, which caused him to be thrown from his Harley-Davidson and land in the right lane. Seconds later, the 28-year-old woman driving a Toyota struck him.
 
Soon after, paramedics arrived at the scene and brought him to Community Regional Medical Center. However, despite life-saving efforts, the man succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have yet to release his name.
 
Officers interviewed the uninjured driver who showed no signs of impairment. However, an investigation into the factors should confirm more details.
