Teen Girl Injured After Car Splits in 2 During Crash in Merced County
MERCED COUNTY, CA (November 13, 2024) — A 16-year-old girl was injured in a head-on accident on Highway 140 near Arboleda Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 9:00 a.m. Tuesday. For an unknown reason, the teen girl lost control of her Honda Civic and collided head-on with a truck. Upon impact, the Civic split into two.
Shortly after, paramedics transported the 16-year-old from Le Grande to a hospital with only minor injuries. The truck driver also sustained minor wounds.
Police did not specify the leading cause of the crash in the report, but an investigation is underway.
