SACRAMENTO, CA (January 31, 2022) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident near Power Inn Road and Butte Avenue, early Sunday.
 
According to the Sacramento Police Department, the incident occurred just before 1:50 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver in an unknown make and model struck a male pedestrian.
 
Shortly after, officers responded and tried to save the man’s life. However, the victim died moments later. The Sacramento County coroner’s office will release his identity once his family members are notified.
 
At this time, the driver involved remains unaccounted for.
