One Dead, Another Injured in Rollover Crash on Escondido Canyon Road

 
ACTON, CA (July 26, 2021) — A man died and a woman injured in a rollover accident on Escondido Canyon Road on Wednesday, July 21.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened just after 3:50 p.m. in the area of 8155 Escondido Canyon Road. For undetermined reasons, a pickup truck lost control and crashed into a guardrail. Then it overturned several times into an embankment.
 
Los Angeles County Fire Department units responded to the scene and arrived shortly after 4:10 p.m.
 
Paramedics rushed the man and the woman to a hospital with unknown injuries. The man succumbed to his sustained injuries and died at the hospital. Officials have not yet released his name.
 
The woman’s condition was not immediately available, a county fire department spokesperson said.
 
Authorities have not yet determined which of the two occupants was behind the wheel of the truck.
