Man Killed in North Sacramento Motorcycle Accident on 5 Freeway

 
NORTH SACRAMENTO, CA (November 18, 2021) — A 25-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash on the 5 Freeway near Arena Boulevard, Tuesday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle crash happened around 6:54 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a vehicle rear-ended a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, causing the rider to be ejected from the bike.
 
Subsequently, the rider landed on the road where a big rig driver struck him. Following the crash, paramedics responded and pronounced the unidentified motorcyclist dead at the scene.
 
Emergency personnel brought the 45-year-old male driver of the car to a hospital with moderate injuries. As for the 68-year-old man operating the big rig, he stayed at the scene for police questioning.
 
At this time, authorities have ruled out DUI as a possible explanation for the motorcycle crash on the 5 Freeway. However, the case remains under investigation.
